Prelude 2:  Life Goes On

Prelude 2 . 1989-1991 . Life Goes On

The challenges of family life were increasing. Sandy seldom discussed what they were, but she was becoming very unhappy in her marriage.

She wanted to get her children into a good school, and although they were currently in the Wilhelm Schole, an excellent private school, it was quite expensive. She knew she could not continue to afford it, especially since it was both Adam and Andrea now.

She meditated on whether to take them out of the Wilhelm Schole, and was shown that they needed to be in public school, not so much for what it would teach them, but for what they would eventually bring to that system later in their lives. She was at a crossroad.

With that question answered, She researched the public schools in Houston by getting a book that had been published by the school district. It ranked the schools based on the success of their students, what their academic strengths were and where they were located.

She found that she could rent a small apartment for less than she was paying for the private school, put her kids in the school in that area and have a place where she could teach classes and escape from the unhappiness she was experiencing. And, it would provide a tax write-off as a business expense.

In 1990, Sandy also experienced a bout with a ruptured appendix that demonstrated how toxic her life had become. As she was talking with dead people in the hospital who were trying to get her to come to the other side, her guides showed up and asked if she wanted to go or stay.

Adam was only two and Andrea was only five. She couldn’t imagine leaving them to be raised by their father, so she said she wanted to stay with her children.

Her guides said they were happy she had made that choice, but if she wanted to continue, she needed to move out of the path of the mind and into the path of the heart, the path of love. She was a little shocked. She considered herself a very loving person. She didn’t know she wasn’t on the path of the heart, and if she didn’t even know that, she certainly didn’t know how to make such a change. Her guides assured her they would help.

When she finally presented the idea of renting another apartment to her husband, he countered with the fact that they could pool that money with their current house rental and get a nice place in the area where the school was located. He was right.

A chill went down her spine, and at that very moment she realized she had been unconsciously creating an out for herself from the marriage not just finding a way for her children to be in a good school. Now was the time to share that with her husband. Of course, he was shocked, but he didn’t say much. So, she went on with her plan to find an apartment and move out with the children.

She felt relieved. She began to return to her old self. She resumed doing psychic readings and teaching classes, meditating and writing. She felt she could finally breathe again. Something within her was finally free, and she resumed the life she was meant to live. After the past few years of unhappiness, she felt a rush of joy and knew she was doing the right thing. Read more ...
